Health Collective - commercial space
Not every project has to be huge to be meaningful. This one was for a health collective bringing together different practices under one roof—naturopaths, psychotherapists, and massage therapists—with a shared goal of keeping the space inclusive and welcoming.
My role was to create the pieces they couldn’t find elsewhere, things that matched the clean aesthetic they had already chosen but were sturdier and built to last. I built several birch pieces, including small side tables by the seating, a bench for people taking off shoes or coats, and a full coffee station with space for coffee, tea, sugar, cups, and the coffee machine.
I also made the main sign for the space. The logo and lettering were laser cut from plastic, then spray painted to match the color scheme they’d chosen. On top of that, I engraved brass nameplates for each practitioner, with each one including their name, title, and logo, so everyone had a clear presence within the shared space.
Everything came together in under a month and stayed within budget. It was a small project, but it was a solid example of what I like doing—shaping whatever pieces a space is missing so it finally feels complete.
